Get inspired by your country's flag - colors, shapes, symbols to create a set of icons. You can also icon the flag itself if you want.

Polish flag is white and red / and the last one is an example of flags :)




★ You can make up to 5 icons
★ Icons are due Sunday, NOVEMBER 19th by 9pm (GMT+1)
★ You can use any stock pictures, that were not previously edited. Here you can find some resources
★ Post your icon and the icon url in a new post to the community (you can post alternate versions of the same icon in your entry, but they won't be considered in the voting post).
★ Tag you entry with your usename (user: xxx), and challenge number (!challenge: xx)
★ Your icons must conform to LJ standards (100x100, 100 KB)
★ Remember icons must be made by you, and exclusively for this challenge!
★ All effects are allowed (as long as it fits the current challenge's theme)

What does "any stock pictures, that were not previously edited" mean exactly? Sorry if it's a silly question, but I haven't participated in anything like this in a long time. Does it just mean you can't use other icons as a base, something like that? Or does it exclude your own photos, and/or photos from stock sites (like the ones in the link) with obvious post-processing?

It is not a silly question. By that I mean stock pictures from sites like: pinterest or weheartit where people put photos that are already cropped, colored, de-colored, edited multiple times. I know that on sites like Unsplash or Pixabay where people post their stock photos, they are not raw, but at least there you can find the "original" source from the maker of the photo. I hope I cleared it up a bit. Of course I don't go around and check what stock photos you use, so if they are alredy changed no one will know - it's more of a being fair to other participants in the game overall.
Also you can totally useyour own photos, that is awesome!
